End Of The Road – Girl you know we belong together
I don’t have no time for you to be playing with my heart like this
You’ll be mine forever baby
You just wait
We belong together
And you know that I am right
Why do you play with my heart?
Why do you play with my mind?
Said we’d be forever
Said it’d never die
How could you love me and leave me and never
Say goodbye?
When I can’t sleep at night
Without holding you tight
Girl, each time I try I just break down and cry
Pain in my head
Oh, I’d rather be dead
Spinning around and around
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Girl, I know you really love me
You just don’t realize
You’ve never been there before
It’s only
Your first time
Maybe I’ll forgive you
Maybe you’ll try
We should be happy together forever
You and I
Will you love me again
Like you loved me before
This time I want you to love me much more
This time instead
Just come to my bed
And baby just don’t let me go
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Girl, I’m here for you
All those times at night
When you just hurt me
And just ran out with that other fella
Baby I knew about it
I just didn’t care
You just don’t understand how much I love
Do you?
I’m here for you
I’m not about to go out on cheat you
(Maybe I’ll forgive you)
Just like you did baby
But that’s alright
I love you anyway
(Maybe you will try)
And I’m still going to be here for you until my dying day
(We should be happy together forever)
Right now
I’m just in so much pain baby
‘Cause you just won’t come back to me (You and I)
Will you?
Just come back to me
Yes baby, my heart is lonely (Lonely)
My heart hurts baby (Lonely)
Yes, I feel pain too
Baby please
This time instead just come to my bed
And baby just don’t let me go
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
Although we’ve come
To the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s unnatural
You belong to me
I belong to you
About Boys II Men
During the first half of the decade, Boyz II Men dominated the charts as one of the most successful rhythm-and-blues groups. Among the principal members of the band were Nathan Morris (actual name Nathan Bartholomew Morris; born June 18, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.), Michael McCary (actual name Michael Sean McCary; b. December 16, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.), Shawn Stockman (actual name Shawn Patrick Stockman; born September 26, 1972, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.), as well as Wanya Morris (actual name Wanyá Jermaine Morris; born July 29, 1973 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.
In the course of their high-school years at the Philadelphia High School for the Performing Arts where they studied classical music and vocal arts, Boyz II Men began meeting as high-school friends. They first got together when they went to school together. There was a song by the pop quintet New Edition that was given the name Boyz II Men which they had recorded back in the 90’s. After the quartet got in contact with Michael Bivins, formerly a member of New Edition, the group gave him an impromptu audition in 1989. Later on, Bivins signed on as their manager and played a major part in defining the image of the band as a gentlemanly entity.
With the release of Cooleyhighharmony in 1991, Boyz II Men had their debut on the Motown label, which went on to sell more than seven million copies and win a Grammy Award for best contemporary R&B album. They broke the record for consecutive weeks spent in the number one position on Billboard’s pop chart in 1992, when their recording “End of the Road” from the movie soundtrack of Boomerang spent 13 consecutive weeks as the number one song, outdoing the previous record set by Elvis Presley in 1956 with “Don’t Be Cruel” backed with “Hound Dog.”
The group was involved in the production and writing of the album II in 1994. A couple of months after Whitney Houston broke the record by spending 14 weeks at the top with “I Will Always Love You,” Boyz II Men tied Whitney Houston with the number one song, “I’ll Make Love to You.” It was their follow-up single, “On Bended Knee,” that put them at the top of the charts, joining Elvis Presley and the Beatles as artists who succeeded themselves at the top.
