Rait Zara Si – Arijit Singh

Rait Zara Si – Hona Tera Hona
Paana Tumko Paana

Jeena Hai Ye Maana
Pal Bhar Mein Sadiyan
Hai Sadiyon Mein

Jeena Hai Ye Maana
Haath Mein Teri Khushboo Hai
Khushboo Se Dil Behla Hai

Ye Haathon Se Yun Fisla Hai
Ho Jaise Rait Zara Si

Roj Mohabbat Padhta Hai
Dil Ye Tum Se Judta Hai
Hawaon Mein Yun Udta Hai
Ho Jaise Rait Zara Si

Ye Hulchul Dil Ki Ye Hulchul
Bole Aaj Aas Paas Tu Mere
Bikhra Hu Main To
Kuch Pal Hawa Mein
Tere Bharose Ko Thamein

Chalna Bhi Hai Badalna Bhi Hai
Tujhmein Hi To Dhalna Bhi Hai

Dil Thoda Jazbaati Hai
Bhar Jata Hai Baaton Se
Ye Fir Chhalke Yun Aankho Se
Ho Jaise Rait Zara Si

Haath Mein Teri Khushboo Hai
Sach Poocho To Ab Yun Hai
Tu Chehre Pe Mere Thehra
Ho Jaise Ret Zara Si

About Arijit Singh

Born to a Punjabi father and a Bengali mother in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer and music programmer.

Having learned Indian classical music from his maternal aunt and maternal grandmother, he began training in music at home. As well as him, his maternal uncle plays the tabla. Additionally, he learned music from his mother, who sings and plays tabla.

His studies were at Raja Bijay Singh High School and Sripat Singh College, which is affiliated with the University of Kalyani. “He was a decent student, but he cared more about music”, said Singh. It was his parents’ decision to train him professionally due to his inclination towards music.

Among the instruments he studied were tabla, Indian classical music, Rabindra Sangeet and popular music, which he learned from Rajendra Prasad Hazari.

During the reality show Fame Gurukul (2005), he won the semifinals but lost the finals. After winning 10 Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil, Singh built his own recording setup, initiating his career in music programming. The following year, he worked as an assistant music programmer for Pritam Chakraborty, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar and Mithoon.

During Aashiqui 2, his song “Tum Hi Ho” became more famous.  At the 59th Filmfare Awards, he was awarded the Best Male Playback Singer award.
