State Of Grace Lyrics – Taylor Swift

State Of Grace

I’m walking fast through the traffic lights
Busy streets and busy lives
And all we know is touch and go
We are alone with our changing minds
We fall in love ’til it hurts or bleeds, or fades in time

And I never (never)
Saw you coming
And I’ll never (never)
Be the same

You come around and the armor falls
Pierce the room like a cannonball
Now all we know is don’t let go
We are alone, just you and me
Up in your room and our slates are clean
Just twin fire signs, four blue eyes

So you were never a saint
And I’ve loved in shades of wrong
We learn to live with the pain
Mosaic broken hearts
But this love is brave and wild

And I never (never)
Saw you coming
And I’ll never (never)
Be the same

This is a state of grace
This is the worthwhile fight
Love is a ruthless game
Unless you play it good and right
These are the hands of fate
You’re my Achilles heel
This is the golden age of something good and right and real

And I never (never)
Saw you coming
And I’ll never
Be the same

And I never (never)
Saw you coming
And I’ll never (so you were never a saint)
(And I’ve loved in shades of wrong)
Be the same (we learn to live with the pain)
(Mosaic broken hearts)
(But this love is brave and wild)

This is a state of grace
This is the worthwhile fight
Love is a ruthless game
Unless you play it good and right

About Taylor Swift

Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift, is an American singer-songwriter and pop music act from West Reading, Pennsylvania, the United States whose songs about young love and heartache became mainstream in the early 21st century as Swift’s tales of heartbreak continued to gain popularity.

The Journey of Taylor’s Music Life

Having developed an interest in music at a very young age, Swift advanced quickly from roles in children’s theatre to her first appearance before a crowd of thousands because of her passion for the craft. During the second quarter of the first half of a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game when she was 11 years old, she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the young crowd, and in the following year, she decided to pick up the guitar and start writing songs. As she drew inspiration from country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks, Swift wrote original songs that reflected her experiences of feeling alienated as a tween because she did not feel like she belonged. To devote more time to courting country labels in nearby Nashville, Swift’s parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania when she was 13 years old.

The singer embarked on her first headliner tour in 2009, in which she performed to the delight of sold-out audiences in cities across North America. Aside from Swift dominating the award circuit, that year also saw Swift dominate the industry awards. During the recent MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in September, she won the video category for the best female video for “You Belong with Me,” and the album Fearless was honored with the album of the year award by the Academy of Country Music in April. While Swift was accepting her VMA award, rapper Kanye West interrupted her speech and protested that the award should have gone to Beyoncé because she had made one of the best videos of all time, in his opinion. In the following episode of the program, when Beyoncé accepted the award for video of the year, she invited Swift onto the stage for the last part of her speech, which resulted in a standing ovation for both performers.

Awards Success

In the November of that year, Swift won all four categories in which she was nominated at the CMA Awards. During the CMA Awards ceremony held on December 5, 2009, she was honored as the youngest-ever award winner for entertainer of the year, as well as the first female solo artist to receive that award since 1999. At the Grammy Awards, she performed with a stunning performance, achieving four honors, including best country song, a best country album, and the top award of the year for album of the year, which was also her first moment in the spotlight in 2010.
