Woo hoo, yee hoo
Woo hoo, yee hoo
Woo hoo, yee hoo
Woo hoo, yee hoo
If I could escape
I would, but first of all let me say
I must apologize for acting, stinking, treating you this way
‘Cause I’ve been acting like sour milk all on the floor
It’s your fault you didn’t shut the refrigerator
Maybe that’s the reason I’ve been acting so cold
If I could escape
And recreate a place as my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
And tell me, boy, now wouldn’t that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I’ve been a real bad girl
I didn’t mean for you to get hurt
(Whatsoever) we can make it better
And tell me, boy, now wouldn’t that be sweet?
(Sweet escape)
Woo hoo (I wanna get away) yee hoo
Woo hoo (to our sweet escape) yee hoo
Woo hoo (I wanna get away) yee hoo
Woo hoo (yeah) yee hoo
You held me down
I’m at my lowest boiling point
Come help me out
I need to get me out of this joint
Come on, let’s bounce
Counting on you to turn me around
Instead of clowning around, let’s look for some common ground
So, baby, times getting a little crazy
I’ve been getting a little lazy
Wait on you to come save me
I can see that you’re angry
By the way the you treat me
Hopefully you don’t leave me
Want to take you with me
If I could escape
And recreate a place as my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
And tell me, boy, now wouldn’t that be sweet?
If I could be sweet
I know I’ve been a real bad girl
I didn’t mean for you to get hurt
(Whatsoever) we can make it better
And tell me, boy, now wouldn’t that be sweet?
(Sweet escape)
Woo hoo, yee hoo
Woo hoo (if I could escape) yee hoo
Woo hoo (if I could escape) yee hoo
Woo hoo, yee hoo

About Akon
Akon Thiam was born Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1973. He was raised in Senegal before returning to the United States with his family (including jazz percussionist Mor Thiam) at the age of seven. His first introduction to hip-hop was there, as well as his first encounter with crime. Although he spent three years in jail, he used that time to work on his musical ideas. As soon as Akon was released, he began to write and record tracks at home. SRC/Universal eventually released Akon’s debut album, Trouble, in June 2004. With silky vocals and beats that emphasized the East Coast and Southern cultures, Akon’s album was an interesting mix. Akon became a star and a sought-after collaborator after his Top Ten Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Locked Up.” He began making guest appearances more frequently after his appearance on Young Jeezy’s “Soul Survivor.” The November 2006 release of this album marked his second studio album. It didn’t take long before both of the album’s singles, “I Wanna Love You” and “Smack That,” gained top billing on Billboard.
Success and Albums of Akon
Freedom, his third album, marked a significant stylistic shift. A Europop sound and a dance-oriented hip-hop sound distinguished the December 2008 release from his earlier hip-hop/R&B hybrids. Its most successful single, “Right Now (Na Na Na),” reached the Top Ten on the Hot 100 despite the bold change. Despite slowing his own output, Akon collaborated with dozens of artists, including David Guetta (the global hit “Sexy Bitch,” 2009), Artists for Haiti (“We Are the World 25 for Haiti,” 2010), the Lonely Island (“I Just Had Sex,” 2010), and Michael Jackson (“Hold My Hand”). There were several delays and eventually a complete abandonment of a fourth album, Stadium, which was originally scheduled for a 2010 release. September 2010 saw the release of the single “Angel.” Dr. Dre and Akon collaborated on “Kush” that same year.
Earlier that year, “Dirty Work,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, was released as a stand-alone single, followed by “So Blue” that November. Several singles from Akon, including “Want Some,” “Hypnotized,” and “Good Girls Lie,” came out after he signed a new deal with Atlantic. After joining Chris Brown and Gucci Mane for the Michael Jackson tribute single “Moon Walk,” he released Konvict Kartel, Vol. The second is. His fourth studio album, El Negreeto, released on his own Akonik label, was influenced by Latin music, and the first single from it was “Get Money.”
In 2004 he released his debut album, Trouble, which featured the single “Locked Up,” which combined smooth R&B vocals with hip-hop grooves. In 2006 and 2008, Trouble’s Konvicted and Freedom albums achieved Platinum certification multiple times over. The Konvict label, owned by Akon, launched the careers of artists such as T-Pain, Lady Gaga, and Kardinal Offishall. The Konvict Mixtape, Vol. 3 showcased these label connections. The first Konvict Kartel album was released in 2016 and the second in 2017.
